Within the UK, we have seen changes in COVID-19 infection rates, with the emergence of the delta variant and ever-changing guidance on travel and regulations. We were prepared for this and will transition to a fully virtual event for your safety.
The health and wellbeing of our delegates is paramount, and the potential disruption caused by mandatory quarantining is likely to impact the conference experience for delegates. As COVID-19 case numbers increase, the possibility of stricter lockdowns and fire breaks remains a reality.
The Cytokines Meeting organisers, committee and local partners have been consulting regularly to discuss the current situation, its evolution and the uncertainty of consequences on everyday life and especially large gatherings of people. The organisers wanted to keep an optimist view of the evolution of the situation, unfortunately too many uncertainties remained, and a decision had to be taken to allow for a serene organization of the virtual meeting.
The dates have not changed. Cytokines 2021 will remain 17-20 October, 2021.
The Attendee Guide will be distributed to all duly registered attendees a few days prior to the event. You will find all virtual rooms detailed with screenshots and callouts, best practices and everything you will need in the Attendee Guide.
Your registration will automatically be transferred and applicable to the Cytokines virtual meeting. The difference in registration price will be refunded to you. Registration prices and deadlines can be found on the meeting website.
The Meeting programme will not change.
You will receive e-mails from the Meeting Secretariat regarding your participation.
All accepted abstracts will be maintained for the Cytokines 2021 Virtual Meeting. Late breaking abstract submission will open on 1 to 15 September.
In order to present your abstract to the Meeting you must be registered.
You will be individually contacted by the Meeting Secretariat.
If you booked your reservation through the convention bureau online system, please check the cancellation policy of your booking that you received with your confirmation and cancel your reservation.
Please contact your airline, travel agent or insurance directly regarding ticket cancellations. Most airlines are issuing credits due to COVID-19.
